Support for Sliding Fee Services

Transitions deeply appreciates monetary gifts to help provide services to those in our area who lack the resources to pay the cost of needed mental health services. Gifts given to the Julie Sturhahn Barry Mental Health Assistance Fund enable us to provide services to people in our area who have no third party source of funding and who lack the funds to pay for the care they need.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, we are able to serve this group of people via a sliding fee scale.

Needs of Those Who Reside in Our Group Homes

Those who live in our group homes live on small incomes.  residents need personal care items and often struggle to purchase them.  We welcome donations of:

  • Bath Soap
  • Laundry Soap
  • Antiperspirant
  • Mouthwash
  • Toothpaste
  • Shampoo Conditioner
  • Hand Cream
  • Shaving Cream
  • Wash Cloths/Towels

Support for Recreational Activities

Transitions believes in inclusion; thus, we encourage our consumers to participate in outings and activities in the community.  We welcome monetary donations that will enable consumers to attend the Community Theatre and/or musical events in the community … attend a Gems game … or visit sites of interest in the area.  Donations help provide tickets to events and support travel costs.

Infant and Toddler Services Diaper Fund

Annually, Transitions serves more than 400 infants and toddlers, with the goal of helping them overcome delays in their development – delays such as speech and language delays … or motor delays (delays in crawling, walking, etc.).  Many of the children we serve live in families who are living in or near poverty.  Thus, their parents struggle to meet their basic needs.  Many families struggle to purchase diapers for their children.  Because we know that a child cannot learn if he or she is wet or uncomfortable, we try to provide diapers to infants and families who need them.  You can help young children in our area by providing a monetary gift or by donating disposable diapers to us … and, we will get them to families in need.
