Support to Provide Behavioral Health / Mental Health Services to Those Who are Indigent

Many people, who seek Transitions’ behavioral health/mental health services, do not have the financial resources to pay for the services they need.  A gift to the Julie Sturhahn Barry Fund helps ensure that people in our area, regardless of their ability to pay the cost of needed mental health services, have access to these services.

Needs of Those Who Reside in Our Group Homes

Those, who live in our group homes, live on small incomes.  Residents need personal care items and often struggle to purchase them.  We welcome donations of:

  • Bath Soap
  • Laundry Soap
  • Anti-Perspirant
  • Mouthwash
  • Toothpaste
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Hand Cream
  • Shaving Cream
  • Wash Cloths/Towels

Support for Recreational Activities

We believe in inclusion.  Thus, we encourage our consumers to participate in outings and activities in the community.  We welcome monetary donations that enable consumers to attend the Community Theater and/or musical events in the community, attend sporting events, or visit sites of interest in the area.  Donations help provide tickets to events and support travel costs.

Infant and Toddler Services Diaper Fund

Annually, Transitions serves more than 400 infants and toddlers.  Many of the children we serve live in families who are living in or near poverty.  Thus, their parents struggle to meet their basic needs.  Many families struggle to purchase diapers for their children.  Because we know that a child cannot learn if he or she is wet or uncomfortable, we try to provide diapers to infants and families who need them.  You can help young children in our area by providing a monetary gift or by donating disposable diapers.  We will give them to families in need.
