Children and Adolescents

We believe parents are the most important people in a child’s life.  When working with children and youth, we request the involvement of the child’s parents.

Early Childhood Services

Our services for the young child help children get off to a healthy start in life and begin school ready to learn. Services are provided to children (ages birth to five years) who have, or are at risk of having, a developmental delay or social/emotional/behavioral problem.  Using the “Parents As Teachers” curriculum, services are primarily provided in the home with parent education groups provided on-site.

There are no fees for our early childhood services. Questions about our early childhood services can be directed to the Program Supervisor at (217) 223-0413.

Child and Adolescent Counseling Services

Our child and adolescent counseling services assist children who are struggling with self-esteem issues, depression, social anxiety, conduct/behavioral problems, family problems, or who have difficulty relating to peers.

We are passionately committed to helping children and adolescents.  Our services for youth build on the strengths of the child and family and help youth become more resilient in overcoming life's challenges.  We believe it is important to involve family (parents and caregivers) when treating a child and encourage the involvement of parents and significant others in the services provided.

Psychiatric Services

Psychiatric services (evaluation and treatment) are available for youth.  A Board Certified child and adolescent psychiatrist is available to meet the psychiatric needs of children and adolescents.
